So you are ready to build? It's time to get down to planning what exactly comes with our basic log package. Once you have reviewed the package contents, chosen your log style and options it's time to contact us and get the ball rolling!

Standard "Dry-In" Package Material List

  1. Pretreated full log exterior walls, numbered for assembly; precisely milled, pre-cut, including standard openings, and notched corners; pre-drilled for self tighting maintenance-free thru-bolt log wall fastening system with patented S.A.L.L.Y. anchoring system; five complete sets of construction drawings; log placement diagrams, and a comprehensive illustrated construction manual; professional on-site technical assistance and instruction; exterior wood treatment and all sealant materials.
  2. Therma-Tru Fiber Classic raised panel or French style exterior doors - Lifetime Structural Warranty, high insulation values (as high as R-13). 
  3. Windows-solid wood, double hung, tilt to clean, double pane, Low-E, insulated glass with snap out colonial grilles and full screens (Fixed Glass to be supplied by Owner).
  4. Exclusive Log-Loc Spline and Jamb System interfacing windows & doors to log walls.
  5. Exposed second floor joists.
  6. Exposed laminated beams where required.
  7. Headers and exposed vertical posts.
  8. Porch posts.
  9. Exposed rafters and collar ties in roof system.
  10. Exposed rafters and beams for all porches.
  11. Log siding, framing, and sheathing for gable ends (Both Interior & Exterior).
  12. Log siding, framing, and sheathing for all dormers (Exterior Only).
  13. Tongue & grove decking for exposed house and porch roof ceilings.
  14. R-20 4' x 8' insulation panels (R-30 & R-40 also available).
  15. Roof ventilation spacers.
  16. OSB sheathing for house and porch roofs.
  17. Oly-Log roofing screws.
  18. Roofing felt (30 lb.).
  19. Vapor barrier for roof.
  20. Tongue and Groove decking for 2nd floor.
  21. Framing lumber for interior walls (Excluding Basement).
  22. Skirt board siding and snow blocking (Excludes Porches).

Round Timber Upgrade

The Round Timber Upgrade is an improvement to the Heritage Log Home second floor joists, house rafters, collar ties, and porch rafters from the square dimensional timbers that are standard to full round smooth timbers with a flat bearing surface.  This provides the massive architectural look that is so popular today in many log homes.


Other Required Components Available:

Subfloor Package -

Treated sill plates, termite shield, sill seal, all framing lumber,

3/4" Advantec decking with 50-Year warranty, and sub floor adhesive.

Porch and Deck Flooring Package -

All treated framing lumber, treated 5/4 exterior floor decking, and deck preservative.

Interior Door and Handrail Package -

High quality solid wood six panel interior doors and handrails for loft and stairs.

Finished Roof Package -

Roof flashing, soffit and ridge vents, drip edge, and a 30-year architectural shingles.
